FEBRUARY IS WOMEN IN HORROR MONTH

Women in Horror Month (WiHM) is celebrating it’s 11th year honoring the women of horror. While this is the first year we’ve participated, it’s an initiative that is near and dear to our hearts here at All Roads Media. Each week on our social media, we will feature a few of our favorite picks from the below list of women (and recommended projects) that have inspired us or our work in some way. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay connected!

From movies, to books, to content creators, to folk lore, women have truly permeated this beloved genre. And we’re no exception! An excellent place to start is with a few stories found right here on our site. Not all of them are dark horror to be true, but we like them just the same. If you’re a female or female-presenting horror creator and wish to share a story, video, or creative project with us, feel free to submit to allroadssubmissions@gmail.com. We’d love to hear from you!

*A note about our selections: Horror is truly a vast genre, with many definitions and interpretations. We fully admit that we didn’t capture everything or everyone. This is simply a (small) collection of women that have inspired us or our work in some way. That said, please feel free to share on Instagram or Facebook or send us a note to allroadssubmissions@gmail.com with any of YOUR favorites. We’d love to hear from you!
