And So...

And So...

By Maya Jordan

“Truth”, she said.  “Don’t just say it, it needs to be felt.”
And so he was silent, and held out his hand.
“Trust”, he said.  “I’ll know it when you let me in.”
And so she spoke, and let him understand.
“Listen,” she said. “I have a secret to tell.”
And so he safely kept, everything he heard.
“Live,” he said. “I have a passion to share.”
And so she learned and took in every word.
“Smile,” she said. “We’ll laugh to get through it all.”
And so he made a joke, and they both got along.
“Speak,” he said. “So I’ll know your mind.”
And so she breathed and sang him a song.

He found her, when she wasn’t looking
She saw him, when he didn’t expect
And so their hearts no pain would be brooking
And so each other, they’d never neglect

“Love”, they said. “We’ll give to each other.”
“Together,” they said. “By each other we’ll stand.”
And so it was said, and so it was felt,
And so they were silent, And so hand in hand.
